How a project runs

Once we agree to work together, here's the standard shape of a project, though larger projects may take longer and we'll agree the exact timeline with you directly before starting:

Week 1: we research your business and gather information, so we understand exactly what you need before building anything.

Week 2 onward: we build. Simple projects take about two weeks; larger ones take longer, agreed upfront.

Final week: testing, tweaking, and fine-tuning before delivery.

The remaining balance is due once the work is delivered.

If we cause a delay

If the agreed delivery date passes because of something on our end, you get a 5% discount on your final payment, plus one extra week to pay it, once the work is delivered.

If the client causes a delay

Projects sometimes wait on things only the client can provide, content, feedback, approvals, access to accounts. If a delay is caused by waiting on the client, the timeline simply extends to match, with no penalty to either side. We'll always tell you clearly when we're waiting on something from you.

If we can't finish the project

If we're genuinely unable to deliver the agreed product or service due to a failure on our side, after you've paid the agreed upfront amount, we refund that payment in full within one week. No deduction, no penalty, this is our failure, not a cost to you.

If the client cancels

If you decide to cancel a project partway through, for any reason, we'll refund whatever portion of your upfront payment reflects work not yet started. Work already completed up to that point is paid for at the agreed rate and isn't refunded.

Ownership, once paid in full

Once a project is paid for in full, the finished website, its design, and its content become yours. Any underlying tools, code libraries, or systems we've built for reuse across multiple clients remain ours, but everything specific to your project is yours to keep, move, or modify freely.

Faults and responsibility

If something goes wrong with the delivered product or service because of our error, we repair, redo, or fix it at our own expense.

If a fault comes from misuse or an error on the client's side, the client is responsible for it, and any repair work will be quoted and agreed with you before we proceed, never charged without your sign-off first.

Liability

We work carefully and stand behind what we deliver, but we can't be held responsible for indirect losses arising from the use of a delivered product, lost business, lost data from third-party services, or similar, beyond refunding or fixing our own work as described above.
